### What a Saudi business needs from its ERP

In Saudi Arabia, compliance, language and currency are not add-ons. In ERP36T they sit in the same system as your stock, sales, purchasing and people.

- **ZATCA e-invoicing:** tax invoices and simplified tax invoices are generated from the sales order, point-of-sale sale or accounting entry that created them, to ZATCA's requirements.
- **VAT on every document:** VAT is applied through tax templates on sales and purchase documents, with tax withholding where it applies, and posted to the ledger as each transaction is saved.
- **Arabic and English:** a full right-to-left Arabic interface sits alongside English. Finance, warehouse and branch staff each work in their own language on the same records.
- **Saudi riyals and other currencies:** books are kept in SAR, with purchasing and sales in other currencies and exchange-rate revaluation in the same ledger. There is no parallel spreadsheet.
- **Branches and companies:** branches, warehouses and companies sit under one login, with inter-company transactions and consolidated reporting from the Professional plan.
- **Your data where you want it:** managed cloud, a private cloud under your own tenancy for data-residency requirements, or on-premise on your own hardware.

### Modules for Saudi businesses

## ZATCA e-invoicing, built into your ERP

ERP36T issues ZATCA-compliant tax invoices and simplified tax invoices from the sale that created them. E-invoicing, VAT, stock and the accounts stay one record, not a separate portal to reconcile.

### What ZATCA requires: the two phases of e-invoicing in Saudi Arabia

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) introduced e-invoicing, known as **FATOORA**, in two phases for VAT-registered businesses.

**Phase 1 · Generation, from 4 December 2021**
- Tax invoices, and the credit and debit notes that correct them, are generated and stored electronically by a compliant system.
- Simplified tax invoices carry a QR code.
- Handwritten invoices and invoices edited in a word processor no longer qualify.

**Phase 2 · Integration, from 1 January 2023, in waves**
- Businesses are brought in wave by wave, by revenue. ZATCA notifies each one ahead of its date.
- Invoices are produced in XML (or PDF/A-3 with the XML embedded), carry a cryptographic stamp, and are shared with ZATCA through the FATOORA platform.
- **Standard tax invoices (B2B)** are *cleared* by ZATCA before they are shared with the buyer.
- **Simplified tax invoices (B2C)** are *reported* to ZATCA within 24 hours of being issued.

> This is a summary for orientation. ZATCA's published e-invoicing rules, and the wave notification your business receives, are the authority on what applies to you and when.

### How ERP36T handles it

"E-invoicing from the transaction, not beside it." The invoice is issued by the same system that holds the order, the stock movement and the ledger, so there is nothing to re-key and nothing to reconcile at month-end.

- **Invoices from the source document:** sales invoices, POS receipts, credit notes and debit notes are issued from the transaction that created them.
- **Tax and simplified tax invoices:** B2B and B2C documents carry the fields ZATCA requires, including the QR code.
- **Integration with FATOORA:** invoices are cleared or reported through FATOORA as each document type requires.
- **Onboarding during implementation:** connecting your business to FATOORA, including its cryptographic stamp identifier, is part of the rollout.
- **VAT through tax templates:** rates and exemptions are configuration, not code.
- **Arabic and English invoices:** bilingual print formats with your letterhead.
- **Point of sale included:** simplified tax invoices at the till, from a POS that keeps selling when the connection drops.
- **Corrections done properly:** returns and adjustments are issued as credit and debit notes against the original invoice.
- **Audit trail:** who issued, changed or cancelled what, when, and what it was before.

### One sale, end to end

Quotation → Sales Order → Delivery → Tax Invoice → ZATCA → Payment → VAT in the Ledger

The invoice, its VAT and its stock movement are one record from quotation to payment.

### Where ZATCA e-invoicing appears
